September

September 30th:  Hello everyone! Sorry for the delay on the Portland/Philly show pictures. I decided to let the store send them out to be developed, instead of doing the hour photo. Last time I did hour photos, they came back all crappy. So, we will all have to be patient until probably Monday for those. Sorry! Rachael has added another show in NYC, as well as a few dates in Europe opening for Tom McRae! You can check out the details in the "Tour" section. I have added today a few icons made by the lovely Amy (Sorry for taking so long to put those up, girl!). I have also added the *beautiful* new promo photo that was sent through Rachael's mailing list. You can find that under the "promo" section in the pictures! I hope everyone going to Rachael shows this week is taking pictures and wants to share them with this site! haha! If you would like to, you can email me at webmaster@thereasonwhy.org.  See you all again soon!

September 27th:  Well, I am back from my travels to Portland, Maine to see Rachael :) It was so much fun! I have a few pictures, but will have a lot more soon. For now, you can check out under the "Live" pictures section for a few from Philly and one from Portland :) I have also put in a scan of the setlist from Portland, and my signed CDs from both shows :) On top of those, we have had some BEAUTIFUL wallpapers and blends donated by my friend Jorge for the site! You can check them out HERE. It was a LONG weekend. I am still exhausted from it... I will have a better update soon :)

September  23rd: Happy Birthday, Rachael! Wow... I saw Rachael in Philly last night... and lets just say that if it was possible to love her more, I do! Not only were her performances amazing (she did 2 sets), I also had a chance to tell her about this here little site. YAY! You can read more details about my experience HERE. You can also go onto her official site's forum to see the set lists HERE and an account from Erica (who was there using my extra tickets!) who got to get up on stage and SING with Rach last night HERE! Last night was brilliant. I did record the show on my crappy old school cassette recorder, but need to learn how to put it onto the computer. I kind of messed it up a few times, but oh well. hehe. I also got some photos. Stay tuned for those! I scanned and added my signed EP from last night, as well as a promo postcard they gave out at the show. See you soon! Hopefully with more stories from seeing Rachael again this Saturday. Special "Hello!" shoutouts to Kerry, her darling mother Kathleen, and Erica. Meeting those lovely women was an added bonus to a wonderful night. Oh! and "Hello" as well to Eli! I can't believe you knew who I was :)

P.S. She performed the song "Parade" last night... I must have relistened to is a million times, but am having trouble making out the lyrics. Help me out by filling in the blanks HERE.

September 21st (again!): Again, I am impatient... so I happily uploaded some new photos today, thanks to Irene, Aaron, and Juan! They can be found in the "Live" picture section. I have also added an MP3 of "Woman" live at KCRW, again, thanks to Juan! I have never experienced such an abundance of generosity as I have with this website. Rachael fans are the best!

September 21st:  Hello everyone! I am one of those people that just can't wait to do things... so, I have put up a WMV of Rachael's performance of "Worn Me Down" on Conan O'Brien! This was originally aired in May 2004, but was re-aired tonight. I will have a better quality video later on... but I have to learn how to make it a smaller file size, first. Until then, enjoy this one! CLICK HERE FOR VIDEO

September 19th: Sorry for the lack of updates... I am having some issues with my home computer. Anyway, there are only THREE more days until I see Rachael live in Philadelphia! So, to celebrate, I have made this little "good luck" banner, for her upcoming tour. Also, today, I have a TON of new pictures added! There are a bunch of new ones from the MTV photoshoot, scans of a cool Japanese promotional flyer (put into a new "Merchandise/Promotional Items" section), as well as some new ones over in the "Promo" photo section! Stay tuned this week for a video of her performance on the Conan O'Brien show, and a few other goodies. See you again soon, and thank you all SO much for all the positive feedback on the site... it means the world :) .

September 13th:  The world is already bright this week! Many good things have happened, and here is one to share with all of you fellow Rachael fans: Thanks to an amazing person, I have some really cute HQ pictures of Rachael from the Teen Vogue photoshoot. The pictures are very cute, and it is kind of sad that (at least so far) they were never used in print. Anyway, you can check them out HERE. Enjoy!

September 11th: Happy Saturday! Today I have for you a bunch of random new pictures that were kindly given to me by an anonymous person. So, I will call them my Fairy Godmother Picture Finder :) Anyway, they can be found under the following categories: Miscellaneous, Random Live, Promos, the scans from Paper and Chicago magazines, Live Chicago June 2004, WXPN Philadelphia Singer/Songwriter Festival,  and Hard Rock Cafe August 10th 2002. I think that about covers them all? Enjoy! On another note, I am getting really anxious for my Rachael show in Philly on the 22nd... I am nervous about talking to her about this site! Everyone keep their fingers crossed for me that it goes well, OK?

September 9th:  Ok! Today is the day... that we finally have a VIDEO available for download! EXTRA special thanks to Tom for sending me the video in the mail! We now not only have Rach's performance of "Worn Me Down" from the Late Night with Craig Kilborn show (this was aired July 2nd)... they ALSO played a short clip of a video version of WMD that is NOT the one that is out now. I have made a video clip of that, as well. On TOP of the videos, there are also zip files you can download of captured pictures from the vids! Enjoy! Click HERE for the videos. Click HERE for the caps.

September 7th:  Today is winding to an end, but I happened to get 2 new scans up today... So, I figured I would put them up before heading to dream land. They are from Next and Teen Vogue magazine. Also, good news! They have scheduled a rerun date for Rachael's episode of Conan O'Brien for the 21st! Woohoo! She performs "Worn Me Down", and I will be sure to have up the video of the performance right away after the airing. Keep looking here for that!

September 6th:  Ugh... how inconvenient! As you can see by the notice above, we had some computer issues here... and I have lost all of my emails/email addresses on my HOME email. That means, if I initially emailed you regarding the site, I no longer have your contact info. It is mainly people that have submitted things or have their sites linked under the "Links" section. If YOU emailed ME through this site, no worries. I have all of that saved. Ahhh, the complication of having more than one email address... LOL. Anyway, if you are one of the people I may have lost (and you care. LOL!), please email me so I can have your contact info again. Otherwise, don't be surprised when I email you randomly within the next week!  *Updates for today: Well, not much. Just a cool promotional ad out of the industry mag R&R, for "Worn Me Down". You can find that by clicking the picture to your left, or searching under "Pictures", under "Scans". Happy Labor Day!

September 3rd:  Well, the fun just keeps pouring in! Today, I was lucky enough to have a wonderful girl, Annie, agree to let me put up MP3's of a performance/interview from August 13th at the Theatricum Botanica! Click HERE for those, or check under "Media". You can check out Annie's site HERE.  I have also added some pictures under "Random Live", as well as under "Rachael's Personal Pics". Enjoy!

September 2nd:  Well, I didn't think I would be updating again so soon, but I had a bunch of cool things today! Thanks to Danielle for donating 10 really cool pictures from last week's Fez NYC show! Also, Rachael is now scheduled to appear at the Austin City Limits Festival... both on September 17th (performing "Blame on Me" with Toots and the Maytals), and a solo set on September 19th. Her official site has also announced that the Housing Works show in NYC that had been cancelled, is now rescheduled for November 14th. On top of all of that good news, I received 2 cool things in the mail today: 1) the VHS of Rach performing "Worn Me Down" on Craig Kilborn (Thanks to Thomas!), and 2) The cute "Would You Please" brown Tshirt that I bought off the official site! Stay tuned for me getting that video capped and up on the site (be patient... I'm not sure how to do it yet!). Also, I recommend all the other girlies out there get that brown shirt... it is so cute! If you were not here yesterday... scroll down and read yesterdays update, ok?? See ya again soon!

September 1st:  Welcome to September! This is not only my OWN birth month, but also that of our beloved songstress, Rachael. Woohoo! Also, we have well passed the 1000 hit mark here at The Reason Why. So, I figured I would make a goal to do a lot of extra cool stuff on the site this month. For today, I have added zip files containing captures of both "The Reason Why", and the "Worn Me Down" videos HERE! Also, I have added a button on the right linking you guys to the Official Site's "Merchandise" page... Why, you ask? Well, they not only have Rach's 2 CD's... they ALSO just added 2 different tshirts! I have already ordered myself the brown one. Go in there and give Rach your money! Oh, you may have noticed that the main page banner is a little bit different... without being mean to our lovely girl, let's just say the picture that was up there must not have been her best. LOL. After a few people said something about it, I decided to change it.  Stay tuned this month for some videos for you to download, as well as a possible section that would feature transcripts of articles and interviews! Thanks to Dana for that idea... If anyone has a cute name idea for that section, feel free to email it to me. Lastly, thanks to Kat for a few new "tweaks" to the lyrics. We're slowly but surely becoming completely accurate!
