October 9th:  Hey everyone! Looks like our girl will be on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno tonight! Be sure to catch it, and if you are able to get a video file of it... and feel like sharing it with the site, please let me know! My video recorder isn't set up correctly at the moment... grr. Thanks to the lovely Miss Kerry for the heads up on this!  Kerry also pointed out a special RY appearance in NYC next Thursday October 16th at Barnes & Noble. CLICK HERE for event info!  It looks like she will be performing alongside author Alaa Al Aswany, and there will be a question & answer segment.  So cool!  I would SOOO love to be able to attend, but scheduling just won't allow. If anyone goes, be sure to let us know how it was!

October 4th:  Happy Saturday, everyone!  FIRST OF ALL: You only have a few more days to pre-order Rachael's new CD and get the super beautiful signed lithograph! Go do that NOW!!  I am so happy to see that RY's Official Website has been really keeping itself updated! They even mentioned yours truly last week (Well, this website!). How awesome is that?  A big XOXOXOXO to the people running that page for the shoutout!  Speaking of them, they have provided some links that I posted in the Audio section of streaming media, so you can check out some songs from the new album! The songs you can hear there are "Elephants", "Sidedish Friend", and then "Faster" (which is streaming from www.Spin.com).  They also have uploaded a few new fun videos to RY's official YouTube site, so I've put their direct links under the Video page.  Also on the video page is a link to a short one from Seventeen magazine's official YouTube page.  There are some new pictures as well! Some from the recent live show in Philadelphia, and some new promo shots.  Wait, there is more! I put a new disc under Discography... Graham Colton. I omitted this one when I updated before. Sorry Graham!  AND? There is a wonderful new interview online, courtesy of the talented Donald Gibson. Check it out here! And when you're done reading it, read some more of his stuff on the blog. (I have put this interview link permanently onto the new Media page for Online Articles).  AND AND AND. Lastly, Philadelphia's NPR website has streaming audio of a live performance! It seems to have been recorded on Friday September 26th at World Cafe Live for WXPN. I wish I would've known they were doing this! I would've totally been there! September 14th:  So RY's official site is letting you pre-order the album! AND, you get a free (beautifulllllll) signed lithograph! AND? You can possibly get a homemade booklet! One person per day that pre-orders will win one. How stinking cool is that? I am so totally jealous :)  I added a link to that stuff on the side of the page... So go on and do it!  They also have on that page the official track listing for the album, so I've put the songs in the appropriate spots on the Lyrics page.  I have also added some pics I found from the Tribeca Film Fest, as well as a few more Elephants promo shots. ANDDD... I put the link to watch her "Fireflies" video (with Rhett Miller) on the Video page!  Enjoy!  Oh, and if you (or anyone you know) can help me with getting pics for the site (professional photo site pics), please feel free to contact me... I'm pretty good at bartering for them :)  As well, I guess I could use a few more affiliates... I took down the ones that were up, as it has been probably 4 years and I am not sure that they were even open anymore! So please EMAIL ME if you're interested in helping out with pics or want to be affiliates. Yay!

September 4th:  OMG. I know. We're back! Shocking, no?  It is weird how life can be when you have so many things change in a short amount of time... and are finally content and happy with all the choices you made. Sooo... I guess most of you will know that our lovely Miss Rachael has a new album on it's way out!  She was signed to a new label, Warner Brothers, and they have really done a wonderful job already of promoting her upcoming release!  The album will be a DOUBLE album, entitled "Elephants... Teeth Sinking Into Heart". How beautiful is that?  One disc will have the "Rockin' RY" songs, and the other will have the "Moody Ballad RY".  In coordination with the release, she has a ton of new tour dates as well! First a bunch of solo shows... then a bunch with the Hotel Cafe Tour. Check out the Tour Dates section for more info!  AND, lastly, as with any new release? There are some new promotional photos popping up everywhere! I added a few today, and will add more later. I also have TONS of live concert pictures that I still haven't added... many times XOXOXOX to everyone that sent them to me... I am SO sorry for being a slow slacker! Hope this info will keep you happy for a little bit... I hope to be able to update again soon :)

February 28th:  Oooh! Looks like RY will also be playing 2 shows on Tuesday March 18th at the Hotel Cafe in California (one "early" show, and one "late" show)!  Too late of notice for me to get over to CA, but hopefully some of you guys are still able to get tickets and report back to me about it! xoxo

February 26th:  Wow... it has been another long time. I know most of you don't know me personally, but please just understand that my personal life has been completely uprooted and turned upside down over the past 6 months. I'm finally getting back into a normal routine, and figured that today was a good day to finally get back on the ball and update my site! Why, you ask? Because our girl has a big list of new tour dates, that's why! Check them out here!  She is going on tour with Sara Bareilles.  As well, I still have a bunch of great photos from the Belleayre Music Festival (from back in August. yikes!) to add... just don't have time right now before work... still have to edit them! I will do my best to get them up soon. As for news, I honestly don't have much besides the tour dates. RY's album is still pending release, with no actual release date available. Hopefully we'll know more soon!

 

July 31st:  Ok, yes... it has been a long time. I apologize for that! This summer has been very eventful (good & bad) for me. I have a bunch of stuff here waiting to be updated, including pics from all three Philly gigs (once I get home tonight, anyway!). I plan a huge update after this weekend (roadtrip to see RY play up in NY first!). So thanks so much for your patience! BUT, I'm not leaving you completely hanging today! There are a bunch of new tour dates that have been announced! Miss Rachael will be opening up for the lovely Mandy Moore on a few dates in September. If you have not picked up Mandy's album "Wild Hope" yet, you really should! It is actually quite good, and Rachael is featured on 2 songs. For more info on these tidbits, check out the Discography & Tour sections! Oh, and if anyone has any pics from any of the Philly shows (or the supposed one she played in LA last Saturday? I'm not sure about much on that one), please feel free to email them to me for the site :)

June 13th:  We have another one! RY will be playing with a bunch of other Hotel Cafe peoples at the Belleayre Music Festival in Upstate NY! Check out the Tour section for more details on that :)

June 12th:  Yay! Rachael is going to be playing THREE shows (aka: a residency) in Philadelphia this July! Check out the Tour Dates section for more details. Also, I have verified and now can say that the new Ben Lee album is due out on September 4th. This summer is truly going to ROCK. Oh, and if anyone saw RY play in CA earlier this month, be sure to email me your photos to post up on the site to share with all the other fans! I should have some pictures from the Sunday show (6/2, I believe?) up by this weekend, though. So stay tuned for those! Enjoy your week :)

May 27th:  Just a quick note today to inform you that RY's Official Website has just announced that she will be featured on the upcoming new album by singer Ben Lee (who happens to have been born the day before me, according to his website. LOL). No word on the song(s) she will appear on. Or a release date. BUT, the album is set to be entitled "Ripe".

May 19th:  Exciting news! Rachael has confirmed two tour dates (supporting band Citizen Cope) on her MySpace page! Both shows are in CA (check out the Tour Dates section for more details!). If you are able to attend, be sure to send your pictures in so they can be posted here to share with all the other RY fans out there in cyberland :)   Also, in case you didn't see it yet, it looks like they have *finally* updated Rachael's official website! It looks pretty cool (although the "links" section is not there anymore, so we're not listed... boohoo!). Hopefully they will add that back :) Have a great weekend!

April 23rd:  Forgot to mention yesterday: Apparently Rachael is featured in the May 2007 issue of Cleo Singapore! I just got a copy from Ebay, so expect a scan soon. The cover is the beautifully talented Miss Christina Aguilera :)

April 22nd:  Hey there everyone! So sorry for not having a chance to update in a while... I still have some great pictures from Rachael's concert in Singapore to update, just haven't had the chance (been having some big changes in my personal life... just trying to catch up with everything else and get back on track!). Thanks for bearing with me!  Anyway, for today, I wanted to let everyone know that Rachael has posted a show date on her MySpace for San Francisco! She'll be playing at the clothing store "Harputs Market" on April 27th, at 8pm! Everyone in that area should go check it out! And, as always, if you take any pictures, feel free to send them my way to post on the site! ;) On a separate note, the new Bright Eyes album has been released... I got mine on Itunes... and, well, I can't seem to figure out which song(s?) that Rachael is on besides "Make a Plan to Love Me" (because they mention it in an article I read online). Anyone with the physical CD want to help me out by reading the liner notes? And, as for the Four Winds EP? I'm totally lost on that one! She is mentioned as being on the EP in REVIEWS, but no song specifics. Please, help a girl out!
